Web Design

Worked as part of a four member team as the Graphic Designer. This was one of three mockups shown to the client. The client wanted a web site that would help middle school aged children raise funds for disaster relief while developing good study habits. This design was inspired by hurricane images found on the internet. I designed the logo using parts of the client's product which utilizes school achievement and check boxes to chart student progress.

This second mockup utilized my photograph of an old-fashioned school room. I created the note paper background, used the check box theme for the navigation, and a sticky note look for the 'get started' button.

The client chose the third mockup which I designed with pre-teens in mind. I researched other popular teen web sites and found that most of them used color to catch the eye of their users. I combined color and various classroom and desk objects to try and appeal to this age group. The client liked the check boxes and sticky note and so they were transfered to this design. The web site can be viewed at

Part of a classroom assignment to come up with a web design that would appeal to the digitally advanced age group. The site was to promote an on-line survival game one could access by use of a mobile phone.
